Is this a travel agency or booking site?
No. Umrah Trip Planner is a private notebook for lining up quotes you already have. It does not sell packages, hold hotel inventory, or book flights.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up and no login. A new visitor gets an empty notebook in that browser.
Where is my trip data stored?
By default only in local storage on that device. Nothing is uploaded until you create a family link. Shared notebooks are encrypted in the browser first; the server stores ciphertext only.
What is a family link?
An optional URL shaped like /app/s/…#k=…. The full link is a password: anyone who has it can read and edit the shared notebook. The key sits after # so it is not sent to the server with the request.
Can I use it on one phone with no sharing?
Yes. Local-only mode needs no server and no link. Open the planner, fill the notebook, and leave sharing off.
How do I revoke a link that was forwarded too widely?
Create a new family link (a new room) and send only that full URL to people you trust. The old link stops mattering for the new notebook; without the new key nobody can open it.
Why SAR and INR?
Quotes from Saudi ground operators are usually in SAR. Many families budgeting from India want an INR view. You enter and store SAR; INR is calculated from the trip’s SAR→INR rate and shown as whole rupees.
Does a package copy my hotel and flight rows?
No. Packages pick existing ledger items. Change a hotel once and every package that uses it sees the update. Food can include more than one voucher so Makkah and Madinah can sit in the same package.
Will search engines index my trip?
No. The planner and API are disallowed in robots.txt and the app sends noindex. Marketing pages describe the product only — never a family’s notebook.
Do you sell data?
No. There is no user database. We cannot sell trip profiles we do not have. See the privacy page for how share ciphertext is stored.
